Martin Luther a Catholic monk of the early 1500 believe that both the Catholic and Orthodox had gotten off course, ever so slightly. He seeks for the Catholic church to move back to the path of the Apotles. He wrote 95 theses which were translated into German by sympathizers and printed by the newly invented printing press and distributed widely. Protestant branch of the Christianity was born when the Catholic church refused to acknowledge its abuses. It came to be called the Protestant Reformation.
