Adam Hamilton mentioned some of the things we can learn from our Lutheran brothers and sisters:
All believers were ordained to ministry in baptism to serve and do God's work.
The Bible offers us the compass by which we live.
We are saved by God's grace, not by our work.
We are called simply to accept and trust in God's gift of love and life.
Anybody read the whole Holy Bible?

I still did not have the courage to read the Bible. Hopefully with the help of my friends, I will learn to read without worrying that my mediocre intelligence might interpret it wrong.

Read some parts that the school or the church read but not the entire book yet. I don't know about being impressed but it does gives us a lot to think about being human beings and how to treat others.
How did you come to conclude that you are not impressed by it?

What make you think that. Our book club just finish reading a chapter about Lutheranism and Germany, along with Denmark, Norway and Sweden is where the Protestant reformation spreads fast.

He kills everyone who doesn't conform to his rules, and kill everyone on the planet because he didn't like what he saw.
Spread, past tense. We're not that religious anymore. It baffles me why the government still funds the national church when their number have been in decline for decades.

Maybe because the Queen still goes to it.
If I had read the Bible, like some people I know, they can give you a good debate on why God did what he did. I am still in the learning process.

Maybe because the Queen still goes to it. That's because the law requires her to be Christian. She can't choose. Yeah I don't believe you can justify genocide. |

Overthrow them.
In these times, we mostly have shitty examples of Autocracy, namely mad dictators like Hussein and Gaddafi, and what made them insane was that they got their power through force.
But, having a royal family means that the Crown Prince and Princesses will be brought up from birth to rule. They're whole lives will be about knowing how to be a good leader.
