Presbyterianism

Presbyterians draw their name from the way they are organized, adapting the Greek New Testament work for "elder". They felt that Martin Luther had not gone quite far enough. Presbyterian and Reformed churches while expressing great appreciation for Luther, sought to lead the church still closer to the biblical church of the apotles. John Calvin's wor "Institute of the Christian Religion" is clear that nothing happens apart from the will of God.
