Adam Hamilton sites three things he thinks the Protestants can learn from the Catholics. 1. The Power of Ritual 2. Reverence for the Sacred 3. The Power of the Eucharist. I have not been to a lot of Protestant churches but some of them try to give a relax atmosphere that it end up being too casual and lost that solemn, Holy ambience most seek when praising God.
Please share with us how you praise God.

In my religion, there's plenty of ways to praise the Gods. The most well known is sacrifice, you offer the gods something of value to gain their favor.
Personally, I try to live my life in a way that honors the Gods and what i think they stand for.

When you say Gods, what are the different Gods you worship and what are the sacrifices you usually offer.

I can't name the entire list, but mainly, Odin, Thor, Frey, Freia, Heimdall, Tyr, Gefion, Vidar and plenty of others. Sacrifices can be anything, In the Viking Age both animal and human sacrifices were popular. These days, material things are most popular, silver, porcelain, ornaments, really anything goes since It's a symbolic gesture.

We all know that people have died in the name of Christianity. But it is not as offering to our God. What makes you decide to join a religion that used to do human sacrifices.

Key word: Used to, past tense.
All religions have some dark sides, Islam's are quite obvious in these times, In the Middle Ages Christianity killed everyone who wasn't a Christian, and even claimed it was Gods will. In the Viking Age, the Vikings did human sacrifices.
Religions evolve, and so do the people practicing it.

Officially, there's a ceremony called a Blot. Basically It's a barbecue with hand holding and chanting where the participants offer sacrifices. Food, silver, or even animals are still sacrificed during Blots. Some people do private ceremonies where they just talk to the gods they want to gain favor from, and offer them sacrifices.

When is a Blot done? Do you have to be initiated to become a member?

Some organizations hold a summer, and winter Blot each year, along with several smaller ones in between. There is no initiation ceremonies or requirements.

It doesn't signify anything, It's a way to both honor and commune with the Gods. It's also an amazing bonding experience since you have an awesome feast afterwards. Like a whole pig over the grill, and lots of people bring homemade mead as well.

A whole pig roast is a common thing you see in Filipino feasts or parties too. So there is no weekly gathering? How do you guys decide on the date and location of the ceremonies?
