Where I grew up most parents will get themselves in debt just so the kids will get into and finish college.

Education is free in Denmark. A few special types do charge money however, but It's mostly very affordable, and the government pays you while you study.

So you guys don't worry about paying back student loans after college? It's one of the contributing stresses to some if not most Americans.

Very few people I've ever met have taken student loans. There's a few ways to get a steady-ish paycheck from the government without having to take out a loan. Most people get a job if the government money isn't enough.

With government giving away so much benefits, what motivates people to get better. I mean, I lived in Canada for a few years and the feeling of why bother working hard and earning big when you just end up being taxed more if you earn more. You see people who are receiving government checks having more gadgets than you and they don't even have to work for those.

Dane's are very ambitious. My brother is a paramedic and has a college degree. A friend from high school is studying Bio-mechanics at the university, another guy i know is studying taxes and economy and all kinds of stuff like that. When education is provided free, people aim for the sky.
There is also limitations on the benefits. For example, if you're unemployed and receives support money from the government, if you get offered a reasonable job you have to take it, or else they take away your benefits, which makes sense. They reward getting jobs and educating yourself far more than just living off benefits.

Wiki mentioned about a free job trade and people get hired and fired easy there. Is that true? Glad to know they have measure placed to trace if there is abuse. How do government know there is a reasonable job offered.

There's job centers that handle all of this, and they work closely with just every single employer in the Kingdom. So whenever there's a new opening, they know about it.
